Marukyu Shoten x Pauline Androlus

Limited Edition: Tenugui, "échappées bleues" series

This series is an exceptional work of abstract art, its patterns were imagined by Pauline Androlus, talented French designer of objects and interiors, and it was made by the craftsmen of Marukyu Shoten, Tokyoite house founded in Nihonbashi in 1897, manufacturer of yukata (summer kimono) and tenugui with the chusen craft technique.

Laurence Vouillemin is the talented designer behind Ikémato. For Atelier Ikiwa she has created a small series of vintage indigo fabric pochettes, which celebrate traditional Japanese craftsmanship half-way between sewing and origami, the preservation and reuse of vintage textiles, and the purity of creative work.
