Grey-beige Japanese ceramic bowl
A bowl with a beautiful, slightly rough texture and delicate grey-beige contrasts. This is the work of Koji Takagi, a potter based in Chiba prefecture. To obtain this texture and rendering, the potter worked with black clay and red clay from Shigaraki, to which he added white clay tapped with a sponge, and a fine glaze to preserve this rough, slightly heavy aspect.
The result is a precious object for everyday use, to put a small pastry with tea for example, or for decoration, a wabi sabi spirit that will bring all the delicate beauty of Japanese craftsmanship into your home.
