In a beautiful thick ecru ramie with a delicate transparency, this placemat is a fabulous tribute to Korean craftsmanship.

Each placemat is unique in its patchwork and the pattern created. A remarkable piece of needlework (the placemats can be used both inside and out) that has its place in our home decoration.

Pojagi is an unchanging Korean tradition of wrapping objects or food in rectangular pieces of fabric, which allows them to be stored, decorated, offered, or carried with elegance and practicality. In its patchwork version (more commonly called Jogak-bo in Korea), scraps of fabric were preserved and to avoid waste used to create unique pojagi, thus creating a new work of art.

This object keeps in memory the hand of the craftsman who designed it with patience. It will accompany your daily life while contributing to the preservation of unique craftsmanship.
