Japanese Brown-Beige Vase Shodai-yaki Ceramic
Rounded vase in slightly blueish brown-beige tones, designed by Shigeo Mashiro, the talented designer and founder of Sfera, and handmade in Kumamoto (Kyushu) using the famous shodai-yaki pottery technique.
Its texture and muted tones are due to the application of a straw ash glaze by dripping. The clay is harvested around Mount Shodai, it has a high iron content that gives it its characteristic appearance, and the pieces are fired in an ascending kiln at 1300°C. Shodai-yaki ceramics are renowned for their durability and timelessness.
This vase with its refined and very balanced rounded silhouette can contain bouquets or minimalist branches depending on the occasion and desires, and is also a very beautiful decorative piece on its own.
A precious decorative object in the wabi sabi spirit that will bring all the delicate beauty of Japan into your home.
